Understanding TRT
Testosterone levels naturally decline with age. When they drop below a certain threshold, you may notice changes in how you feel day to day, less energy, reduced focus, difficulty recovering from workouts, or changes in mood.
TRT is a physician-supervised protocol that is designed to help restore testosterone to a level your provider determines is appropriate based on your lab work. It’s not a supplement or a shortcut. It’s a medical treatment, monitored with regular bloodwork.
A provider at our Newport News location will review your labs, discuss your symptoms, and determine whether TRT may be appropriate for you. Not every man who walks in starts treatment, and that’s by design.
Some men report improvements in energy and mental clarity within the first several weeks of treatment. Individual responses vary.
When combined with exercise and nutrition, optimized testosterone levels may support lean muscle maintenance and body fat reduction.
Some members experience improvements in sleep quality and physical recovery. Your provider will monitor your progress at follow-up visits.

Signs & Symptoms
Most men don’t recognize these as connected. If you’re experiencing more than one, it may be worth having your levels checked.
You’re sleeping 7 to 8 hours but still dragging through the afternoon. Coffee stops working.
Tasks that used to be easy require more effort. You lose your train of thought mid-sentence.
Low libido, reduced ambition, or a general sense that something’s off.
Losing strength despite working out. Gaining weight around the midsection without changing diet.
Feeling more short-tempered, anxious, or low for no clear reason.
Restless nights, waking up unrested, or taking longer to bounce back from physical activity.
These symptoms may be caused by conditions other than low testosterone. A provider evaluation with bloodwork is the only way to determine the cause.

Know the Difference
Not all TRT providers are the same. Here’s how a Virginia-licensed in-person center compares.
At-home test kits. Video calls with rotating providers. Often prescribed after a questionnaire. Self-managed between calls.
Protocol-based treatment. Provider varies by location. Follow-up and monitoring may cost extra.
